Where Passion Took Root: My Burgundy Story

My journey into the world of wine and tourism began in 2007, driven by a curiosity for people, place, and culture. Back then, I had no idea how deeply this path would shape my life. Wine was not just a product — it was a language, a story, a living heritage that connected landscapes, families, and generations. Over the years, that curiosity turned into a calling.

In 2016, I began working in Burgundy, a region that would change everything for me. Settling in the Côte-d’Or, I had the privilege of working with renowned international travel companies, designing and leading wine tours, tastings, and immersive vineyard experiences for clients from all over the world. These weren’t just tours — they were moments of connection between people and terroir, between visitors and centuries of tradition.

One memory stands above all others.

Every Wednesday, without fail, between April and November, for five consecutive years, I took clients to the Beaune Grèves area in the Côte de Beaune. Week after week, season after season, we would walk the same paths, breathe the same air, and stand in front of the same legendary plot: the Enfant Jésus monopole vineyard.

This parcel, located just above the town of Beaune, is one of the most iconic Premier Cru vineyards in Burgundy. The Beaune Grèves slope is known for its limestone-rich soils, excellent drainage, and ideal sun exposure, producing wines of structure, finesse, and remarkable aging potential. The Enfant Jésus plot itself is a monopole — meaning it belongs to a single owner — a rare and special status in Burgundy. Its wines are known for their depth, elegance, and powerful sense of place.

Each visit, we were welcomed by representatives of Bouchard Père & Fils, whose family has been deeply rooted in Burgundy’s history for generations. They didn’t just teach us about wine — they taught us about Burgundy. About terroir. About patience. About tradition. About humility in front of nature. About the passion that flows through families who dedicate their lives to vines and land.

Standing there in the vineyard, touching the vines, breathing the air, feeling the stones beneath my feet — something shifted inside me. From that very first encounter in 2016, a seed was planted. I understood that wine is not created in cellars — it is born in the vineyard. It is born in silence, in soil, in seasons, in weather, and in human dedication. It is magic you can’t manufacture — only respect, protect, and transmit.

Ten years later, that seed has become my purpose.

Today, I carry that passion with me in everything I do. Through The Burgundy Wine Vault, my mission is to recreate that same magic for my clients and advisors from all over the world — to offer not just bottles, but stories; not just tastings, but experiences; not just wine, but connection. Connection to land. Connection to people. Connection to meaning.

Because Burgundy is not just a region.It’s a feeling.A rhythm.A memory.A living soul.

And my life’s work is to share that soul with the world.
